Quebec City welcomes the 21st International Symposium on Non-Oxide and New Optical Glasses (ISNOG) to be held from June 17 to 21, 2018

Building on the success of past editions, the next ISNOG, the 21st International Symposium on Non-Oxide Glasses and New Optical Glasses, will take place for the first time in Canada from the 17th to 21st of June, 2018. The symposium is being held during the pleasant summer month of June at the Québec City Convention Centre.

ISNOG-2018, like preceding ISNOG conferences, is a top-level international conference bringing together scientists around the world interested in recent developments in non-oxide glass materials: their chemistry, physics, mechanics, computer simulation and biomedical applications as well as techniques for their advanced characterization. The primary goal of ISNOG-2018 is to present state-of-the-art research, recent achievements and global trends in non-oxide glasses and new optical glasses and to promote cross-disciplinary interactions that can spur the development of this exciting materials research field. 

The Quebec City Convention Centre is located only steps away from most of Québec’s world-class tourism infrastructures: museums, parks, walking tours, boutiques, theaters, concert venues, bars, restaurants, and the historic district of Old Québec, a UNESCO world heritage site, since 1985. Various affordable hotels are within walking distance of the conference venue.

The Local Organizing Committee is preparing an exciting scientific program focussing on new topics that can bring together scientists and industry specialists from different research fields, and that can foster information exchange and international collaboration.
